April to May 2014 – Quirindi

Quirindi, small town on the north west slopes of New South Wales. Population 2,500. My home for a month. Rise before daybreak, watch the sun spill over the horizon and over rolling hills while waiting for work to start, walk in lines up and down paddocks, record artefacts, dinner at the Terminus Hotel with the excellent steak and the Beach n Bush sauce (drool), go to our shared accommodation and work until 10.30pm with colleagues, go to bed, compose draft letters, try and comprehend a changing life… quietly.
