Lane Cove River Walk

Last year I purloined my parents’ copy of Sydney’s Best Bush, Park & City Walks. When moping strikes it provides excellent distraction. Today’s walk (No. 6) was along a section of the Lane Cover River, south of Fullers Bridge. The walk starts very close to the location where the bodies of Dr Bogle and Mrs Chandler were found in a state of semi-undress (or semi-dress, if your cup runneth half full) and covered by cardboard on New Years Day, 1963.  It follows the line of river, through Chatswood Golf Course and then, still following the river, west to an athletics field. It’s a nice easy 4.3km circuit.

It looks as though you could be miles from anywhere!
