Or should that be cockatoo, lizard, sheep? Some of the stock and wildlife that a typical day in the field might bring out in Western NSW.

    That could be the new name for an Australian version of rock, paper, scissors.

      Croc is a much better option. I’ve spent the last five minutes trying to figure out how to reduce cockatoo to the correct number of syllables for the Scissors, Paper, Rock chant and sheep just doesn’t sound right in the place of rock.

    I would really love to have a pet cockatoo like the one you took the photo of (nice shot!) but my husband has said “absolutely not!” I guess it’s not worth having a huge fight over, I’ll just come back and look at your photo once in a while 🙂 thanks!!

      These ones were Major Mitchells / Pink cockatoos. They are gorgeous but I don’t know about keeping them as pets. If they’re anything like the sulphur crested cockatoos they’re liable to try take your houseguest’s finger off if they get cranky.
